Review: [Max Factory] Figma #19 Kagamine Rin

Rin's box is the typical, rectanglular (height greater than width) figma box withe the window and at the bottom, there's the figma logo and the name plate as well as the figma number below. The figma boxes' designs also vary depending on the series and for vocaloid's case (except Live Stage Miku) There's these digital circles with the vocaloid's name around it as an inner circle, kinda cool but I don't actually recognize it immediately until I inspected it further, maybe if they used a different color than it'd be better, but anyway, better than Haruhi line's white box XD

The details are really nice, practically everything you'll need to inspect, even the dots and whatnot, with Rin is there already though idk if it persists on all but my Rin does have some little smudges all over so a little minus for Max for QC there. Going on to the more positive side, I loved how Rin's collar was made it's made of soft material, and because it is made of such, it would benefit the articulation instead of hindering it. But since she's an old figma, her hands still have those ball end points which are dangerous since once it's brittle it can break and the said ball joint can be stuck inside her wrist hole, just a little caution wouldn't hurt.

Well, the usual accessories, Rin comes with a set of hands for changing and a figma stand. Like the first Miku, she only comes with one extra faceplate only, which also faces in one direction, making shots for the other side quite bad :)) But yeah, she could've used more faceplates as well. She also comes with a Mic and this time there are no mic stands, it's just really for her to hold in her grip hands. Well, it's pretty nice though they could've included the mikan as well since it is her character item and Miku and Luka did have their character items with them.

Now this is where Rin triumphs, but first here's the breakdown of her articulation points; She majorly uses the figma joints (hinge with connector pegs that acts as a swivel) and these are used on her neck, shoulders, elbows and knees. A Ball joint is then used on her hips and torso and lastly a hinge at her ankle.
Well, like I said, Rin triumphs on articulation factor, well, because first, she doesn't wear a skirt so you can play more with her hip joints than other figmas and this also doesn't cancel the fact she's one of the few figmas that can actually sit. Aside from that, as mentioned in the details section, her collar's soft material allows you to lift her arms to quite a decent extent.

Rin certainly was nice, it just really took me two years after being addicted to Miku to get to like her and now, I'm backtracking her releases. And luckily I got her for her standard price though she's 2nd hand already but yeah, if you do get a Vocaloid, then, definitely do not miss Rin out, she's a really superb articulated figure and her face plates are quite better than Miku's IMO so, yeah, I'd recommend Rin for any figma collectors out there :D

This is actually one of my favorite figmas in my collection. Reason is that I got mine during a competition in via Dannychoo.com not to mention she was the first figma that I owned.
