Review: [Good Smile Company] Hatsune Miku

Who is Hatsune Miku?
Hatsune is the first vocaloid released for the Vocaloid 2 Character series, she has unbelievable fame in Japan and across the globe. Even with her high pitched voice, she manage to build a fanbase of her own with the help of really gifted vocaloid users like ryo and kz. Well, what can I say, Miku is now one of the biggest idols in Japan, a virtual to put up with that. 39 is usually related to Miku as seen in Project Diva, it is because that her name in kanji can somewhat be read as 39 depending on how it is displayed. Anyway, after being presented with three past reviews, here's her original artwork:

Box/Packaging:
Seriously, the box is just great. The box itself is shiny and the design is just sweet, not some random whatever designed box out there. Really well planned out if I must say. The box is quite wide though but the color and overall look is just lovely.

Face and Photogenic Appeal:
I have to agree that the face isn't really original artwork accurate but over time Miku's been shown to be more moe and GSC doesn't fail in this one. IMO, this Miku is by far the one with the most appealing face of all the available large figs as of now; just moe, lively and really beautiful smile there. And in fact for an originality, I really have to praise GSC for that! Now, as for Photogenic appeal, GSC's Miku is pretty much well versed in this field, any of the face showy sides can present you with a moe feel and add up with angle tilts, you'd be producing really lovable shots of this really kawaii Miku. :D
Body and Details: With the overall build of this, this is truly the best large scale Miku for me, even with the appearance of Max's 1/7 "ero" Miku, VN02 and the existence of the Volk 1/6. The body, everything is nicely done, GSC even got her correct proportions *not so flat chested* and the pose is just superb, out of all the Mikus known to the public by now, this is one of the few large scale Mikus that has gone way beyond copying original artworks, the pose just gives life to this really great figure. As I say to my friends, this Miku has the *ching* pose, a really nice pose for those kodak moments. XD Detail shots below.
Paint job: I have to comment on the paint, as you can see above, her skin's color is really great, really reflects some jap spirit in her and if you'd notice, her outfit is totally shiny, every detail is painted very well. Lastly, I really like green-ness of this Miku's hair. ^^
Base:
The base actually looks like glass and as far as I know, this can be connected in more than 4 ways with the GSC Kagamine twins, a really nice way of putting some gimmick if you ask me. Aside from that the transparency and the details implanted on the base is really satisfactory.

Bonus Feature:
Well, this is the part where my figure reviews get a big minus usually. As for GSC's Miku, her bonus feature is the very common skirt cast-off which is a pretty big service to a lot of Otakus out there but certainly not for me. Oh well, I can't be biased about this, can I?

Overall:
Well, if you've read my feedbacks above, you'd definitely know that I really like this figure a lot. Aside from an obvious display of moeness due to the her face and pose, the paint is really note worthy and her hair length is in good proportion. Well, GSC Miku comes with an affordable price too, well, compared to GSC's big releases these days, her price is really way low. ^^

Miku is kawaii even when sitting
A fan of Miku? of moe characters? of long haired characters? or a lot more, I really give this figure the official thumbs up and one of the must haves if she falls in your collection criterias. GSC has really made a superb job and for a fact, this Miku had scored a 9.38 average from 77 users on Tsuki *excluding me* and the fact that this figure is owned by 194 users in Tsuki means a lot already... So, what are you waiting for? Grab now! LOL! XD
