Basically Wing Form isn't your typical web shop exclusive, it's actually a magazine bundle and obviously you're paying a whole lot more because of his and generally, his packages is a mix of his official shot and the cover of the Hero Saga Den-O Special cover.
So basically the set contains the figure and the special copy of the whole Den-O Hero Saga which is actually thick for its own and it's pretty cool too since Den-O gets to work with the Showa 7 Riders.
Now Wing Form's box like most exclusives, he also has a boring unattractive box but do note, it's ridiculously heavy! And at least when compared to other limiteds, his box is a bit better since it's on the shade of Wing Form's colors and you actually see the figure rather than plain boring text on the front.
Figure Details: |
Now Wing Form doesn't really have that feel of a badass SIC but he is pretty good on his own, majestic possessing a lot of good colors such as metallic silver, shades of gold and white which really emphasizes the majesticness that Wing Form supposedly has XD And to make him a little different, the gold shades actually work since it makes the same frame have an identity of its own; and the eyes, they're osom stuff and overall though simple in overall appearance, Den-O Wing Form has left its rightful mark on me; on a side note there are more details but since he's all white and stuff, you can't see it that well as compared to darker colors.
Accessories: |
As for accessories, we get the typical Den-O Rider pass, some gasher parts that art to be assembled to form the Den Gasher; but since he's Wing Form, he's got more! He's got his glorious wings (which only really appears upon his introduction), and the wings have vast diecast content iirc and to attach it, you would need to replace the back armor with the one having peg holes.
He does also come with a stand but it's not very useful, if you decide to use it when you attach the wings, the stand often gives up and swivels on its own distorting Wing Form's standing position; pretty sucky though but fear not, it's not that Wing Form can't stand with his wings attached.
Articulation: |
Same frame, same articulation, you can just read over the past Den-O reviews for more detail or then again, just see the barrage of photos here; though for something's that of his own, when you have the wings attached, you can basically swivel the golden feathers and while his shoulder pad doesn't budge it's pretty small and thus doesn't get in the way as much as how it did with Gaoh.
Despite the same old articulation, I guess the complete fun factor of Wing Form goes to his Den Gasher which is an axe and some sort of mini-scythe whatever you call it XD I seriously have Wing Form as one of my favorites overall and it's not because of the wings, it's just probably how cool this guy can be despite his bright color scheme and do note that this guy can do the Sieg poses without sweat.
Final Thoughts: |
Well, I did say I love this figure, right? For me, this is the best Den-O form in SIC, I mean just look at that wings, it's glorious and Wing Form himself is one really sweet SIC it's probably just the price point that will throw people off (and if you don't like Sieg and Wing Form itself) since it's pretty high for a single SIC but hey, his wings are ridiculously heavy anyway ; and despite such, for SIC collectors, I think he's very much worth it and I highly recommend to get him as well for you SIC Den-O riders. :D

Can the wings be mounted onto other Den-o figures?
ReplyDeleteIf you'll be using the back part of Wing form, I think it is compatible
