1/8 measured as 20.4cm from head to base

Who's Blance Neige?

Well if you haven't played Shining Tears or isn't familiar with the Shining Tears universe, Blanc's full name is Ira Blanc Neige Gardenias, supposedly a princess of a certain kingdom but drops the position to join Xion in forming the group Weissritter, a group of mercenaries. Later after the events of Shining Tears, she joins Souma and forms a new Weisritter. Anyway, see Blanc in action here.

Okay that should be okay for an introduction. Anyway, before I proceed with the figure review. Here's a little something for you to compare the figure with in terms of accuracy. It's from the Visual Collection of Shining Wind.

Though a rough sketch.
It's more than enough as a basis.

Now, we begin...

Package/Box:
Koto's Shining Wind line's boxes have the same concept. It's size is good enough not to eat too much space and Koto's gimmick would be to put the shinken of the character on the left side of the box and to put Tony's illustration in front. I dunno but Koto's SW line's boxes are nicely done compared to some others.

Face and Photogenic Appeal:
Well, of all my figures, Blanc Neige sure gets the 10/10 for the face. She's really elegant in one look. What koto made was they made Neige smile, which can be seen in rare ocassions only. That's one of the biggest pluses of this figure. Anyway, here's my favorite angle, I dunno why but I just love it.

As for photogenic appeal, I really can't say much but at the very least, you can take photos of 3 basic sides: left, right, front. Each angle makes her have a somewhat different feel in terms of the "story" behind the picture. One of the biggest factors that I love in figures is their close up appeal. Really wins me from time to time. Anyway, photogenic appeal samples below.

Body and Details:
Blanc Neige is probably one of the well-known characters in the series due to her superior beauty, not only is she beautiful but she does possess a really nice body. Koto did a fine job in making sure that remains true. Anyway, now for the details, it's a good thing Koto's starting to improve in details, as for Neige, it's really accurate, you can compare for yourself with the rough sketch provided above. Sample shots for this category below.

Base:
Quite a number of people complain about Koto's SW line base, they look like pringles cap or better yet a Topperware base as you can see in some images above. Good thing here, at least for me, is that the figure is screwed to the base as you get it, no need to attach the fig to the base. And actually, I don't care much about the base quality, as long as it's not a space eater, I love it.

Bonus Features:
Neige doesn't have that much in terms of features, she only has her wand and a cast-offable cape. So, there, not much to say about this category.

Overall:
Neige is one sweet figure she can be beautiful with or without her cape. Elegant and Beautiful, at the same time. Neige is no doubt my best or at least, my favorite figure among all for now. Also, since it's Kotobukiya made, Neige is actually really affordable in terms of price. So, there you have it.

Remarks:
If I'll score Neige it'd be:
Face - 10/10
Body and Detail - 10/10
Base - 8/10
Features - 6/10
Price - 10/10

Average: 8.8/10

Now that the score is done, time for the final remarks. So, with all the trouble in saving up some cold hard cash, is Neige really worth it?

Imouto's verdict...

Love-desu!

Yes, she is worth it, Neige SW version is just "love". For those who's looking for a new line to get in PVC figures, Shining Wind is one option and Neige sure is one of the must haves when it comes to the Koto SW line.
