Who is Leon Magnus?
Lion or better known as Leon in the U.S. is a character in Tales of Destiny. He's a master swordsman and is the youngest to serve the kingdom at the age of 16. Leon will later be known as the traitor during the events of Tales of Destiny 2, due to the fact, that he becomes the party's enemy for trying to protect his loved one. Leon is also revealed to be Rutee's brother later on, he later dies by saving Stahn and co. after their battle. In ToD, Leon wields a one-hand weapon and a shield, but in the remake, he now uses a Sword and a dagger on his other hand, similar to how he fights in his Tales of Destiny 2 incarnation, Judas. Here's some Leon pawning action by some player on YouTube:

Below is the original art of Leon:

Now to start off...

Package/Box:
As you can see, the box is covered with Leon's artwork, even the other sides. Really nice touch and since he's a 1/10, his box is really small. Easy to carry around.

Face and Photogenic Appeal:
I just love this Koto figure's face, frankly, his incarnation as Judas is the one I liked better, and this figure shows more of a Judas expression than a Leon expression. Anyway, the figure is most likely based on the game sprite instead of his artworks, Leon's artworks are far off from this one but he does capture his other identity's face. Well, that's a nice touch by Koto IMO. Anyway, here's my favorite shot:

As for photogenic appeal, this one has a big disappointment in it. As you can see in the image above, most of his hair falls to his right. Thus, covering a big portion of his face, preventing the owner to take decent shots from his right, closest from his right you could get would be the first image below, else you'll only be able to capture his hair which somehow looks off as well.

Sculpt and Details:
The paint job used on Leon was more than enough to give a satisfactory mark from me. The one jewel-like objects on his cape are pretty much the same material used for my SIC V3's eyes and gems on the belt. The colors were darker compared to the original art which works pretty well and is the one that adds to the figures overall coolness. Lastly, the details on the cape, they're totally great, the folds and all.

Base:
As you can see in the last detail image, the base is pretty normal, pure white hexagon, well, as much as space is concerned, it's pretty much good already for me but come on, aside from being too simple, why the heck is it color white, well, for some, I don't like white because once dusts or other stains are in it, you'd obviously see it. But that's what Koto made, so, just put on some dust/stain prevention measures.

Accessory/Bonus Feature:
Leon is, of course, incomplete with his swordian, Chaltier. Well, you really need to plug Chaltier in his hand if you want to see him complete, a missing sword in Leon's arm will surely make you feel like there's something missing. I dunno if other swords can be plugged with him. Below is Chaltier's image, a finely done sword sculpt if I must say.

Overall:
Leon is my favorite character in the Tales universe, so, I guess, that's the main reason why I got him in the first place. Koto have certainly done a fantastic job with him, and Leon's pretty affordable too, I got him for a price of a bit lesser than two prize figures locally.

Remarks:
Face and Photogenic Appeal - 8/10
Sculpt and Details - 10/10
Base - 8/10
Accesory/Bonus Feature - 5/10
Price - 10/10

Average: 8.2/10

Final remarks...

Leon says he's bishi in ToD2, lol

Leon is virtually the most famous Tales character and is a sure win with a lot of female fans, with Koto's affordabilty and this satisfactory result, I'm more than happy to say that Leon is one my better figures in the collection.
