Review: [Max Factory] Figma SP-12 Black ★ Rock Shooter

BRS gets the wide box treatment from Max Fac due to the fact that there is the Rock Cannon included, it's pretty much a given already due to it's length. Anyway, the deisgn is another checkered layer, and this goes on for pretty much every BRS figma release, only the color really changes. It's pretty dull if you ask me but yeah, it's just a box anyway XD The figure's what counts in the end.
Wait! What's that black circle near the figma logo? It's a sticker indicating that BRS has a BRS OVA DVD inside and you might wonder where it is, it's safely stored inside an envelope like thick paper-ish cover which is again in checkered design but this time with the BRS title and logo, which makes this my 2nd DVD of the OVA (first one being her nendo XD)

Detail wise BRS figma is really a win, I like how they shaded her hair as it really gives a really neat effect on her and the jet blackness of her outfit are fluid as it has been used all over giving symmetry in color. Amazingly, they also kept the paleness of BRS as eye as huke's ever powerful luminous eyes (which I reaaaaaally love :>) Her details are quite well done as even the white shade was pretty much used all over avoiding cases like the yellowish boots from a certain BRS figure.
One flaw I really see was that the white lines weren't properly done as there are parts where in the lines aren't completely straight but yeah, just a little nitpicking on my part since it's not really obvious until you look it up close and the little excess white paints aren't that bad unlike someone that I'll be reviewing soon this week.

Back then when she was just released, a lot of reports had it that her torso joint was severely fragile and thus results in breakage but as far as I'm concerned, I've played with her countless times and I still haven't encountered it, so yeah, just to be sure, take caution with handling her. ^^

Accessories, BRS has got a whole lot, she has her two weapons: the Rock Cannon and the Black Blade, an extra hair piece for the flame eye version, two more expressions(a really neat closed eye face and pure win shouting/angry face), jointless gripping hands for the weapons, two figma stands, a set of hands, a clamp for one of the stands and surprisingly two sets of chains!
So wait, why two figma stands? Well, seeing as how big the rock cannon is, it's be heavy even if they use really light weight plastic for it since the length of the weapon does make it heavy so yeah, you'd use one of clamps and a stand to support the Rock cannon when BRS uses it for posing; so, a pretty nice step from Max!

So yeah, for an addition cover for di:stages again, we get a cut out of BRS's logo this time which would be the star with how her imprints was done originally as BRS.

Now I don't have some joint testing shots since the review is a blast from the past review. But yeah, BRS has the typical figma joints on the neck, shoulders, elbows, knees and ankles while having a ball joint on the hips, waist and torso; additionally to severely free BRS from possible constraints, they added a figma joint on her twintails as well as the lower half of her jacket which was a very decent move IMO.
BRS was truly heavily poseable she can almost do all kinds of stuff thanks to her not wearing a skirt and also to her jacket joints, everything just adds up, including the hair joints since they do give her a more dynamic poses really a magnificent figma and her faces are really great as well, all of which are useful from different scenarios. And yeah best of all, she can SIT! (and it may not be available in the set of pics here in the review but I did it on one of the episodes of my photostory project, which is temporarily on hiatus, The Eternal Song) The only real gripe I have is of course the failure of her hands to hold the rock cannon by herself but I guess it can't be helped since the cannon itself is pretty light unlike the weapons in S.I.C.s wherein some are really heavy.

Definitely amazing poseability wise and in badass sides, BRS figma is truly a wonderful piece of work. She's definitely one of the best overall figmas in my book and best of all, she's just a regular release! So yeah, you've probably noticed I much I praised this piece already so you know my answer, she's that highly recommended.
