Rerelease: Good Smile Company 1/7 Saber Lily ~Golden Caliburn~

Quite a number of my fellow collector friends are really glad about this news. XD

But anyway, last of the previous Wonder Festival exclusives rerelease is this white beauty!

Being a slight remold from the excellent Distant Avalon release of Saber Lily, this one comes in an armorless fashion, wearing heels, having a different facial expression and many more to mention; the said remold has indeed blasted into sky high prices in the past few years and has definitely been a true grail for some collectors, but luckily you can get it again and the online release will be scheduled on the last month of the year yet again for 9000 yen. Again, she can ordered via GSC's online shop for international customers like me. XD

Upcoming Figure: Max Factory 1/8 Emiya Kiritsugu -Refined version-

The best news of the day!

Both of them gets a refined version and I'm not letting this one pass.

Alas I have been waiting for this for a long time, and finally he's here, as the old version, he still can be switched with a cigar on his right hand and his base can be connected to Saber Zero's; this is probably compatible with the old release as well. But yeah, it's KIRITSUGU, HE'S EPIC! NUFF SAID.

Kiritsugu is scheduled for a December release as well for a slightly higher price point of 7200 yen.

Upcoming Figure: Max Factory 1/8 Saber Zero -Refined version-

Most of you might think this is the same as the one released 4 years ago...

But it's not refined version for nothing :>

While still retaining the ability to wield Excalibur on her right hand, this refined version has been adjusted from the initial mold; having a more lively and more natural hair and a better face than the one 4 years ago, this is definitely a nice change.

Scheduled for a December release, this refined king of knights can be yours for 5400 yen.

Max Factory's Upcoming Figma Emiya Kiritsugu

It's the cool yet somewhat mean master

But he's definitely way cooler than his adopted son (apologies to his fans)

Figma Kiritsugu look totally neat, I love how they actually made him and the fact that he can have a hand on pocket pose, pretty neat! Kiritsugu comes fully loaded with accessories featuring 3 different guns and one of which even has a "reload" gun option. He comes with his cigar and also an effect part for some mean firepower.

As seen from the images above, he comes with his usual lifeless face, a serious face and lastly, his weird smiling face (IMO Kiritsugu looks weird when he smiles XD)

Kiritsugu is set for a September release for 3800 yen. I always find him to be a really cool guy from the Fate series and liked his design ever since I saw his Max Factory scaled figure from years ago; so, even if I had disposed all of my Fate series figures, I'm definitely picking him up. Max Factory's Figma Saber -Zero version- Reissue

And yet another Saber on Resale~

And quite another fast one from Max!

Seriously speaking, she was just released last month, and she's already meriting a resale; probably for one or two new specific releases. But anyway, she's probably a fast sold out item item anyway, so here's another chance for you Saber fans out there. Saber Zero is set for an October resale for the same price of 3000 yen! Image and info from GSC's page.

Good Smile Company's 1/7 Saber ~Triumphant Excalibur~ Reissue

And starting finally on the top resales for the scaled figures!

And she's actually the 3rd most requested of them all.

This beautiful and dynamic Saber is having her resale after almost years; still fetching up for a price tag of 9,800 yen; she will be re-released after exactly 2 years from the month of her initial release which is September. I must admit, though  I don't have any Fate series figures anymore, this one's just gorgeous since I've seen her countless times on figure event; so those who haven't gotten her yet, don't miss the chance. Phat Company's 1/8 Caster -Fate/Extra- reissue

I'm pretty sure a lot of people will be delighted~

So if you've missed the chance...

Phat's giving you one more chance to get this cute and lovely Caster from the PSP Game Fate/Extra. I've seen this figure upclose and I must say I like it though not to the point that I would want to own one since I love the Fate/Stay Night Caster XD But anyway, if you've been wanting this figure, then here's your chance~

Caster Extra is scheduled for an August resale and still priced at 7,800 yen. Image and info from GSC's product page.

Max Factory's Upcoming figma Irisviel von Einzbern

Loli mom~

The only reason why I watched Fate/Zero in the first place hahaha

Irisviel comes with a wire bird as seen above and that's likely her only "accessory" of sorts but seriously, the mold looks great and the serious expression is done quite well since most serious expressions turn me off esp for the Nanoha figmas XD Anyway, Iri also comes with a smiling face as well as a very lovable calm and closed eyes face.

Iri is set for a May release for 3000 yen; images and info from GSC's product page.

Good Smile Company's Upcoming 1/8 Saber and Saber Motored Cuirassier

God damn awesomeness

Am back from my Christmas joy, I know it's late but yeaaaah, I have to post it XD

So finally the first (correct me if I'm wrong) Fate/Zero scaled figure from GSC is here in the form of none other than Saber herself, rider an armored motorbike, while at the same time so full of win and dynamism. While single-handedly running the Cuirassier, her other arm holds the excaliburm definitely a full of win preview from GSC as the same with their recent 1/7 series works.

This dashing Saber comes dashing to retail stores on May 2012 for 13800 yen. Images and info from GSC's product page.

Good Smile Company's Upcoming Nendoroid Saber and Rin Tohsaka -Cheerful version-

And we have the latest cheerful japan offering~

And surprisingly it's from Fate/ series this time and they come in 2!

As seen above, Saber and Rin comes in their color coded cheer leader outfits and they will come with a flag which they can hold on each and two pompoms each which matches their color. Additionally from they're default faces, we are given the Hetare faces again XD which was also the first versions of the Fate characters having the nendo treatment; a sitting (and pregnant looking) body also comes to be in tandem with their lazy expressions.

The 2-pack nendo is scheduled for a May release for 6000 yen; as part of the cheerful japan releases, 2000 yen will be donated to reliefs for the tsunami victims many months ago. Orders can be made starting today until December 28. Images and info from GSC product page.

Max Factory's figma Rider reissue

Another servant!

Why do I feel like another servant will be released soon. XD

And now, we have the somewhat hard to find Rider (at least in here) Still possessing all the accessories from before, Medusa is surely something desireable to get at the very least since she does have the soft plastic hair and she is one famous servant after all.

Rider is also scheduled for a November re-release for 3000 yen. Image and info from GSC's product page.

Max Factory's figma Saber -Armor version- reissue

A surprise move there XD

Many thanks to Fate/Zero I guess? XD

Anyway, that's right after quite a long while, the very first Saber figma is getting her resale, of course, same accessories and all and probably retaining the ball jointed hands of doom. So for those who missed it, this is your chance.

She'll be rereleased on November for 2800 yen. Image and info from GSC's product page.

Good Smile Company's Upcoming 1/7 Rin Tohsaka -Unlimited Blade Works version-

Whew, best Rin indeed.

We now get UBW arc's main tsundere heroine~

Definitely, there's a lack of good Rin figures around and this certainly blows away probably all of the previous Rin figures. Proving to be the most wonderful Rin produced based from the official previews. Rin also has swappable hands or arms as shown that she has a hand holding a dagger or her pendant while the other's a fist or just open.

Supposedly getting one but still hesitating right now due to April being one hell of a month that some needs to carry on to May. Anyway, Rin is set for a May 2011 release for 8800 yen tax inclusive. More pics can be seen at GSC's page.

Good Smile Company's Upcoming 1/7 Saber Alter -Vortigern-

And this completes the Saber Trio

Her reservations opened yesterday.

Finally my favorite Saber version got a good release, well, I'd say Solid Theater had the best large scaled figure Saber Alter before but that's only until when the visor is put on. Not when it's removed since that Saber Alter totally looked scary when the visor is taken out. Anyway, with this release, all the armored Sabers are complete as far as it concerns Arthur, since the Red Saber from Fate/Extra was different. Anyway, as you can see, the base is definitely the best of the 3, I really like the look and feel of the base, and also, Saber Alter's pose isn't boring as well as keeping it safe since Excalibur version really looked scary but I won't know since I don't own one.

As stated in GSC's page for Saber Alter. She comes along with the Vortigern, said be a sword powered from all the dark energy from Saber Alter's body. And it looks really wicked especially if I think shot with proper background and good lighting, this will strike really menacing.

If you noticed from the official pic above, you'd notice that she doesn't have her visor on and yeah, that's good. I just love Saber Alter's eyes, and thankfully, the visor can be removed.

Saber Alter is set for an April 2011 release for 9800 yen. Definitely a sure get for me and since it's April, I'd be sure to be able to pay this off quickly. More pics can be found at GSC's page.

Murakami's Update (March '10)

Hello there! Been a while since I made a bulk update.
Anyway, BRS's the focus on today's updates ^^

Well, I'll start with some Rider news first...

SIC IXA and Dark Kiva official shots out!

The next in line from Bandai's Super Imaginative Chogokin line, featuring, IMO, Kiva's two best riders: IXA and Dark Kiva's official shots have just been out a few days ago. I must say they're looking mighty awesome, a lot of accessories too, Dark Kiva has Saga's Jacorder, the original Zanvat Sword and Otoya's Bloody Rose while, IXA comes with all his weapons and a Save Mode head. I'm really looking forward to getting mine on May ^^

Upcoming SICs
The next volume after the ones above would be Kamen Rider Stronger, which will be based on Ken's work. Looking good and the rendition looks like it's some work like how Ichigo, Nigo and V3 transpired to how the look on THE FIRST and THE NEXT movies. This sure is an instant get for me. :D

Next one is a colored preview of SIC Kiwami Tamashii's Den-O Sword Form, I don't really collect Kiwamis but they're obviously more posable and really cheaper (a lot smaller as well) compared to normal SICs.

He who loves Fuuto
Yes! It's the man who loves Fuuto. Basically my favorite character from Double, despite the fact that Shadow Moon won in the SHF poll on japan, Nasca gets the first head up for us and his SHF might just get me to buy one. XD

Tamashii Exclusives now trolls Armor Plus!
Yep, the newly expanding line Armor Plus has just been included in Tamashii Web Exclusives Items with their upcoming Tekkaman Evil, and dang I was looking forward to this a lot. :( Come on, Bandai, less exclusives for people outside of Japan >.<

Back with Model Kits...
Frankly speaking, one of my childhood hobbies was building 1/144 Gundam Plamos but of course, I quit a long time ago with MG God Gundam being my best output from all the model kits I've built. Anyway, Kotobukiya just announced that they'll be releasing a 1/10 Rockman Model Kit, and oooh boy, this is enough to get me into kit building again, such a classic hero should not be missed.

Now moving on to GSC and Max's new surprises...

Figma Teana previews!
Well, following the ActSta is finally a preview of an upcoming figma of Teana Lanster, what accessories comes with her, we don't know yet. Information has it she'll be released on the same month as Kokui which is on July (who's Kokui? find out in the last part of this post)

The Movie 1st Puchi Set
GSC also showcased last Tokyo Anime Fair their upcoming Puchi Nanoha Movie set, set includes 3 Nanohas, 2 Fates, Yuuno, Arf, Chrono and the killer inclusion, the best friends, Arisa and Suzuka, another really kawaii set to look forward to (not to mention it has 3 loli Nanohas OoO)

Upcoming GSC Large Figures
First off would be the Fate Stay series, we now see a preview of the Unlimited Blade Works movie version of Rin Tohsaka and to complete the 1/7 Sabers, we are also shown a prototype of another 1/7 Saber which completes the Saber Trio with this being Saber Alter. I have to say this is by far the best Rin ever and as for Saber a must have if you got Lily Avalon and ordered Saber Excalibur.

Moving on, we now see a colored protoype of GSC's Senjougahara from last Wonder Festival. And also as an additional to the series, we now see a prototype of Sengoku Nadeko. ^^ Still have to think about these since I'm pretty much wanting a lot of GSC large scales and my pre-order list isn't helping. XD

Hatsune Bagu!?
I really don't know what a Hatsune Bagu is supposed to do but it looks pretty cute, it if comes out regularly, I wouldn't mind getting one since it's too cute :x

Black Rock Shooter begins!
With just a month away from the premiere of the animation project, there was a Black Rock Shooter event that was held a few days back and to our surprise, a lot of improvements, mainly the colored prototypes of Dead Master's upcoming large scale figures.

I can't wait to get my hands on them and of course, an announcement of pre-orders for BRS's figma and nendoroid, which I have ordered already. Twitter information says BRS is the best selling figma to date with over 20000 orders recieved even though she's marked as an SP. XD

Anyway, to the main focus of the event (information on the anime), we are now shed light of their human names:

Kokui Mato - Black Rock Shooter

Takanashi Yomi - Dead Master

Also confirmed for the anime is the appearance of Black Gold Saw and one other unnamed character which was featured in BRS Visual Works 2. Anyway, to the official website to find out what's new with the upcoming OVA of Black Rock Shooter.

Whew, that's all for now :D

Wonder Festival 2010 Winter Showcase

Another war? Looks like it... XD

And another day of wallet burning has arrived!

Today is another day where figure collectors like me gets surprised and prepare our wallets burn yet again as today is Wonder Festival Winter 2010! And as usual, we get a show case of new and upcoming products from the different figure manufacturers at Japan, but I will only focus on GSC, Max Factory and Alter but will also mention other companies along the way, photos mostly from HobbyStock Blog.

Okay, unlike the past Wonder Fest blog I did, I'd take this time by series. So first we drive into Fate series where we recently got an announcement of a figma Rider and also, this time WF showcases Mordred (Red Saber/Saber Extra) with her weapon. But to the surprising extent, we now get to see a fully colored Saber Alter figma, last hinted 2 years ago when Saber Lily's figma was released. And finally, to many people I know, we get to see a a prototype of Archer's figma, yes! Archer! Rejoice Archer fans! Below are previews of Saber Alter and Archer:

If that's not enough, we now go to the Nendoroid line as GSC presents us a colored Nendoroid of Saber, yes, the real Saber this time and not some weird facial expression. XD

Moving onto the next. Recently, we get a sneak preview from Alter via text that they'll be continuing their Nanoha line and leaves us with an announcement of StrikerS Vivio in her Kaiser mode and of course, if there's a Nanoha, there's also got to be a the Movie 1st version of Fate, and here we see them.

If that's not enough, GSC also shows prototypes of a Nendoroid Puchi for the Nanoha Movie which includes Nanoha, Fate, Yuno, Chrono and Arf.

Since the Haruhi film is around the corner, guess what's GSC and Max have done?

Of course, the answer is additional figmas and nendos. Figma showcases had the loli version of Haruhi from when Kyon got back in time, a future Mikuru and a Haruhi version straight from the film, where it takes place in an alternate world.

To continue with the Haruhi movie, GSC gives us a peek at new nendoroids from it in the forms of Haruhi and Yuki.

Related to Kyo-Ani, we now go to K-On! and boy manufacturers sure are milking it pretty much, we now get a new Mio and the colored Azusa from Alter.

If that's not enough, Max Factory shows their own as 1/7 scales of Mio and Yui are shown along with the remaining unannounced figmas. Really now, I dunno if K-On! fans would be happy or not with all the insane rate of releasing K-On! collectibles.

More from Factory, and this time they're stepping into the realm of Evangelion by making a 1/6 Mari as well as the figmas of the 3 female pilots. And this is just around half of the new figmas.

Ridiculously as it may sound, but with some twist of fate, Max Factory got the license to do figmas for a particular Kamen Rider series, which is Dragon Knight, the ever so known western adaptation of the 3rd heisei series, Kamen Rider Ryuki, and though, the license is for Dragon Knight, the suits really have no whatever difference from Ryuki, so you can count them as Ryuki products, starting with figmas of Dragon Knight (Ryuki) and Wing Knight (Knight)

Also a worthy note would be the milking of Senjougahara from Bakemonogatari from different companies, the images below would be GSC's 1/8 scale fig and of course a teaser of the figma.

Senjougahara figures from Kotobukiya and Movic are also revealed in this event.

And finally for my series sums, we go to Black Rock Shooter's universe. I've been wishing for a Dead Master figure ever since BRS's first fig was announced and look what Max and GSC do? Bombard me with 4 new DM figs, really nice huh? Anyway, we get to see a colored nendo of BRS as well as a peek of DM's Nendo, figma also showcases colored products for the two characters.

If those weren't enough BRS milking, we now see the completed BRS anime version as well as two, YES TWO, Dead Master figures: one is to pair up with the anime version and the other to pair up with the first BRS release, hoo boy, I really like DM and I'll be shrining her since her reign is beginning. :p

Finally done with the series sums and now for the figure lines remaining for the 3 companies stated above.

Alter is now starting their Altair line, a figure line for large scaled male figures similar to MegaHouse's G.E.M. line. I dunno who the other one is but we also get a preview of Tales of Vesperia characters for this line. ^^ Good news to Tales fans and those who like male figs.

So for the last bunch of figmas, a little surpising but definitely nice. A figma of KOS-MOS in her version 4 appearance and dun dun dunnnn, Michael Jackson! YES, MJ! IN HIS THRILLER LOOK TOO!

For the Nendos, I really don't know most of them since I only know Feena and the other one which would be a character from Strike Witches. Also, it is revealed that the 100th Nendoroid is classic company character Mickey Mouse! XD Also, previews for Touho's Nendo Puchi set.

Finally going to large figures. Here are Alter's remaining line ups, notable for me would be Koromo from Saki and Clalaclan's completed painted protype:

Finally remaining figures from GSC which I really have no idea of who they are (I really should start watching more anime) XD

And of course, last but not the least... GSC's hinted figure a few days ago, turns out to be another Miku (YAY!), this time in her Koi ga Sensou look and man that base is freakin' huge! O_O

Well, I'm done here. You can look at more reports from kumo's blog, 2chan, Hobby Stock Blog, Figure/GK, Amiblog and many more... ^^
