Murakami's Updates (December '09)

I am back and so is Miku~~~ ^-^

Finally free of those burdens I was bound to last month. XD

Just a little update on some notable figs for me and stuff.

ActSta... Your thoughts?
With the recent release of the very first figure developed for the ActSta line, Subaru Nakajima from Majou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS.

ActSta is pretty much a posable large fig which tries its best in hiding those joints to give you a sense of viewing a static figure when it's in pose. Well, from what I've seen so far from Subaru, it's pretty good. Toybu features a pretty neat review of her, really really nice. But who knows what might happen to this line. I do hope GSC continues the line though. So what are your thought? Will ActSta prove to live a long life or would it be like Bandai's Twist Action Form line which died pretty much after 5 releases? lol!

Alter and MegaHouse has done it again!
Alter, which pretty much in my opinion, produces probably most of the better large scale figs out there while MegaHouse proves to give a really good bargain with their excellent model core line. And when these two combines, you get Alpha x Omega, a collab which started pretty much started last year and well, they've been releasing a good amount of really wonderful figs and the latest is Ranka Lee from Macross Frontier, well, I haven't really watched it myself but it goes that I buy the figure first before I start watching. And AxO Ranka is totally looking good especially that *kira* pose, it's an ultimate WIN XD

Now, am just hestating since May, her release date, is pretty much the same release as VN02 Miku. >_<

Miku!? Again!???
Companies just won't stop milking my beloved waifu, as Volks presents an updated version of their 1/6 Miku, this time called Encore version. It's basically the first Volks Miku with an added face and arms that brings out Miku's moe factor which is really great. Hoo boy, my wallet sure is dead next year since this is another exclusive, an event exclusive to put at that. Below's a pic of the Encore Miku

Review Renewal
Well, I haven't started editing stuff yet but I'll be putting related figures to each figure I've reviewed and will be reviewing to make it a little, I dunno, better? XD

RO Sniper Madness
Well, Level-Up games decided to give pRO a x2 modifier last week which results in a x3 for Valkyrie server, I finally played may huntress again and finally managed to turn her into a Sniper.

The catch is that I only played her last Saturday from a Huntress but yesterday, she's already level 94 as a Sniper, having access to Thor's Volcano is definitely madness, the exp just raises like insane there. XD

Disposal at maximum

Like I've mentioned in my Teana haul post, I've been disposing a lot of figures lately. Well for one, I think I'll be sticking may Fate series to Saber only and those which I really like, unlike before where I really wanted to get them all at 1/7 scales. Another diposed line was Tales of the Abyss, well, Tear proved not nice to me but I didn't want Natalia to be left alone since I didn't really like her as a character, so there, disposed. As for my Shining Wind line, only sticking to my favorites and the ones I liked so my plan of completing the Weiss Ritter is no more as I am now disposing Ryuna.

POTD!? OMG!!
Lol, yeah, the pic I used for this time's update is Witch Miku, which I formed using Yuki's expansion parts that came with Ryoko's Nendo. And surprisingly, I uploaded her pic at tsuki before I slept and when I woke, she was part of the POTD. I'm really glad ^^

A bunch of Kamen Rider updates but not all... ^^

S.I.C. Vol. 51 at full glory!

Yes, as you can see above, I think these are the official pics already which would probably come up after a few days, SIC Decade normal is looking totally awesome while complete form still looks ridiculously like a football player. If you'd notice, one wrong color with Complete form is in his arms, since it's looking obviously like the usual 1 body 2 forms release, you'd be using the same pink from Decade in his arms, which is supposedly colored silver already. Anyway, this is quite far from release and I do hope major revisions can be done for Complete Form.

Chogokin Miku is looking good!

This is quite an old news already but hey, I wasn't able to update my blog lately, as the Chogokin Miku was announced a few months back, we finally see some development and thank goodness, she doesn't look ridiculously bulky like the one in the comic strip when this was first announced. How on earth is this gonna be available locally? I have no friggin' idea but if she won't be priced insanely, I just might consider getting her online. :D

Change Double!
Well, I failed to do an episode review of KR W 3, so, with my observation, KR W is another one of those 2-episode arc rider series, so, I'll be updating every time an arc is finished, I'll be waiting for the subs too before I do any reviews since unlike DCD, W needs more knowledge since it's not pretty simple like DCD's world stories which you can basically understand even with poor jap understanding skills. XD

SHF Limited Madness!

A few days ago, we get the news that SHF Agito Trinity is about to be released. And he's another limited release, lol, Bandai sure like to mess around with their customers these days. And to top off with that, SHF Machine Tornader is also followed up a few days later, and another limited release, lol! Both are scheduled to be released on January 2010 with Agito at 3150 yen and Machine Tornader at 3675 yen.

Half and Half...

Now we see previews of the latest addition to the KR SHFs, and it's none other than 2009's 3rd Rider, Double in all his 3 complete combination forms namely: Cyclone Joker, Heat Metal and Luna Trigger forms. Not much info yet but I'll update once I get more info on them. :D

Murakami's Back Online!

Yes, quite the old Korean online game, Ragnarok Online, as you can see is my first hobby before I started figure collecting, I started to stop last year when I latter got hooked in collecting. But at times, I'd log in and play a little, almost too little. Eventually I really stopped messing with it, I left the app installed and it's usually my sister or her friend playing with my last patch being quite long for being unused for almost a year. I dunno why but I suddenly wanted to play again and there it is, as the screen shot shows, it's my new character, a female Knight whom I just created last Monday and now, she's lv. 85 already, I hope I can get her to trans quick. XD But wait, what will happen to figure collecting then? Of course, it goes on, just not much interesting stuff right now and I'm only waiting for my pre-orders to arrive since I've pretty much filled up the payment for all of them by now. XD

Lily, Sanjou!
Well, finally after being delayed for many many months, GSC's Saber Lily ~Distant Avalon~ is finally out in Japan. A lot of reviews are around already and I'm pretty much looking forward for mine to arrive already. So, if you'd wait, I'll be sure to put up a review of Lily the day I get her or after. :D

Shirt design!? Murakami needs your help!

Basically I'll put up these two images on the page and put up a poll. Deadline for the Tshirt is on October 10 as far as I remember and any pic will do, and I selected from 4 Miku art works and narrowed it down to 2 thanks to the replies at plurk. Now, these 2 both got 2 votes each and I need to choose now, I'll set the poll deadline to October 8. Hope you guys can help. ^^

Yours Truly... The Polygamous Blogger!

I've been pretty much been craving over Asakura Ryoko from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu for quite some time now and I just really realized lately that she is indeed one of those characters that somehow bow down to, with Haruka Suzumiya being the very first and Miku Hatsune being the second. With this, I recently listed Ryoko Asakura as one of my 2D waifus XD So, what does this mean? Ryoko now gets the "I can have multiples" in the collection cause if you'd notice, almost all my figure characters are limited to one with the exception of Miku Hatsune and my favorite rider, Kamen Rider Knight. (Well, my KR Ichigo got doubled but hey, Ichigo original and Ichigo The First have two different worlds and stories.) With that, expect some incoming Ryoko Asakura figs in my collection with FREEing 1/4 being my most wanted of them all, too bad, Ryoko isn't that figure-ized much in the large scale world but still, am getting them soon!

Here are some very minor news about things, some are pretty late already XD

More exclusive Madness!

The RQ version of Nendoroid Petit that was first shown on WF had been recently confirmed to be another exclusive but in terms of price, it's not as WTF as the original RQ Miku, it's price on 3000 yen and is only available through Ure10 Online Shop or Nico Online Shop. The set contains Miku, Luka and Rin as shown before and there are two different variation of the mini-car.

Even more delays.

Why am I not surprised anymore. WiM Miku had just been delayed like the usual, 2 annoying months of doom. But at least, I finally get my Saber Lily next time, thank goodness. Miku being delayed now shows that all my pending Mikus will be out by December. Talk about a merry Xmas assuming no more delays will happen. XD

The Hits Counter
Yeah, I want to find out how many viewers do visit my site so I finally attached a hit counter starting from 0 yesterday to see how often people visit my site.

Income and Hesitations

Finally getting my final batch of payment tomorrow and with that in mind, I am now hesitating on getting Gekisou Yuki Nagato, who recently became available, or the rare Max Factory Ryoko Asakura, I figured it's time to get more Haruhi girls and from my favorites too.

KR Continuation

Well, while KR W is currently on going, I've been side tracking on other Heisei series, and I've just finished Kiva over the week, it was good IMO, and it got me wishing for a Dark Kiva and IXA SICs, lol. I'm currently running through Den-O and hopefully I can also finish this within a week.

A Thought on Team Blogging

I've been running out of what to blog recently especially this month since ber months can be quite slow in news, so, I've been thinking on forming a team with some friends so I can somewhat keep the blog more interesting than usual. Hehe

K-On! Commercialization Continues!

upLark, a recently rising company, announces their new addition to their products, none other than K-On!'s Mio Akiyama in her school festival outfit. This surely is catching my eye and I must be very careful about deciding, lol!

Collection as of August 31, 2009

Yeah, conquered almost 3 levels now...

Well, this year has certainly been a big one for my collection, with the inclusion of a determination to build up a Miku Hatsune shrine and the sudden addition of bugmen aka Kamen Riders, my shelf's been pretty cluttered lately, I just finished re-organizing it but there are cluttered and uncluttered areas if you noticed, those are just temporary spaces for my upcoming figures. And I'll have to re-organize again soon. Anyway, like I mentioned in one of my blogs here, the shelf is now covered with plastic cover and it may look ridiculous but it really protects my figures from dust invasion, been like that for months now and there's few to none dusts in it. :D

Anyway, going to the upper level first... To your left is an area for my Kamen Riders, mostly SICs. While next to it are my unarmed figures followed by mechs, which includes my MG God Gundam.

Going to the lower level: Here's a wide display of the "armed" figures (guns, swords, rods, bows, etc.) I compiled the sword wielders to the left area followed by the extendable weapons (whips, chains). Then the other half being mostly wand and rod wielders with kunai and gun wielders. Again Archer is not mine and I do hope he can be sold already since he's eating too much space...

And last but not least is my pride... The area specially named as "Utahime 39" which contains all my Hatsune Miku goodies. ^^

Starting on a Mini-Project

Due to the shit events and what not that recently happened, I started to revive the spritist in me Yesterday. Amazingly that helped me cheer up much from all the bad news at home and at school.

So, as for my first sprite act. I've decided to sprite Kamen Rider Decade's Complete Form and so far, it seems pretty good. It's still not done yet but here's my current progress with it.

Well, how is it? Enough to pass for a bust? XD Anyway, I'm using several images as basis but am most concentrating on this image.

Well, dunno who I'll sprite next after Decade, maybe Miku or another Kamen Rider. Hehe

ToyCon and 1 Year Anniversary

Celebration time, eh? Hehe, had a blast at ToyCon yesterday.

Well, June 14, 2008 was the first day of ToyCon last year. It dealt the biggest change for me probably, haha, it was the very day that I brought home a blue haired chick in her PVC glory scaled 1/8 from G Gundam, who is none other than Allenby Beardsley, my very first PVC figure. Yes, toycon last year was the start of all the things that are killing my wallet almost every month. Haha, so, instead of the date, I will be marking every ToyCon day 1 as my anniversary, hehehe.

Well, the usual I guess, a lot of shops there including the favorite local stores GT and Wasabi. Good prices here and there and sometimes, you see some rare items for sale there but as there are many booths, BLs also lurk from here to there, I can't believe I'm seeing those nendo Imouto BLs and her kind. Oh dear... The thing is, probably the most powerful weapon in this convention is to hag the shops, I actually helped my friend buy the Koto Saber from Wasabi by hagging it from sir Pats since my friend was lacking 200 bucks to get the Saber. Well, as for my hauls I didn't have to hag anymore since it was already a bargain. Hehe, anyway here are some things of interest in the displays at ToyCon '09.

I got Rider for a really great deal at 2Rats and got the Hybrid Style Galaxy Convoy from a fellow Otakai member, though the Galaxy Convoy won't be mine for long, it's gonna be my sister's on July, so, for now, I'll enjoy having it under my property. :D Well there's one more haul left to complete my anniversary and it's supposed to have arrived earlier than these two and it's none other than Zero. Hopefully he arrives some time this week already.

Here's my current cab as of Anniversary day, I've put a plastic cover to help in dust reduction.

Changes from last cab update:
- Soft (blob) Xecty now on display, it seems further box preservation makes her distorted.

- Fate Stay Night and Kamen Rider in the upper level
- shifted SHnY(Mikurus) to upper level

- Miku Shrine on the lower left area

Galaxy Convoy's already in my sister's Convoy Mountain, but I'll take it out later for photoshoot. :D

Collection as of May 24, 2009

As RPG's would have it, the more the merrier
Same goes for figure collecting

Although I have to admit, displaying them in a cab, the saying will be "the more the merrier and more tiring" since I'd have to clean them up once every 1-2 weeks, 2 weeks takes in a lot of dust absorption so, I have to wash some of them if the dust persists. Any way, in just less than a month, it'll already be 1 year since I started this hobby and hopefully it'll continue to grow this year along with getting a new cab. Haha. Anyway, here's my cab as of today. Nevermind those calendars and newspapers, my mom just won't allow me to remove those annoying pieces of paper. Only 2 levels are mine so, I can't really ask for more levels since there aren't any available places to store some of those books and documents.

There is but one figure that isn't displayed here...

Well, I rearrange them every cleaning routine, but for this arrangement, my Kotobukiya, Alter, GSC, Sega and MegaHouse pics are at the bottom, while others are at the upper level. The Archer is not mine btw, that's my sister's. As for the missing figure, it would be this:

I keep her in the box since cleaning her requires more than the regular routine. Besides Xecty eats a lot space in the cab, so it's better I guess. Anyway, a quick look on the upper level...

The upper level consists of my Hasbro, Orchid Seed figs, along with my Bome Saber, MG God Gundam, gasha Mikuru and Lacus, and my MIB Star Wars action figures. Well, bitchy Satsuki looks like she's leaning, doesn't she? Anyway, here's a look on the lower level...

Lower level consists of my main collection, none other than Shining Wind... Here's a little something for the said series. ^^

Continuing with before. All of my treasured Alter possessions as well as my Tales series lie on the same level. A few MegaHouse and SegaPrize figs here too and last but not least, it's Giroro. XD

Looks like I won't have any loots for my anniversary at this hobby but I am getting my Miku this coming Friday or Saturday though. :D
