Today, I finally got to play Miku's game and here's a little overview on it. Well, if you're a seemingly normal human being who recently found an obsession to a green-haired virtual singing sensation known as Hatsune Miku, this game is totally for you. :D Aside from containing an almost uncountable number of times you get to see Miku in this game (loading screens, songs, everywhere!), this game is Miku moeness at its best.
You are given a few songs like World is Mine, The Secret Garden and Koisuru Voc@loid and you'd have to clear them to unlock new songs of usually from the same artist, i.e. finishing The Secret Garden unlocks dear cocoa girls. You are given 2 difficulties at first, easy and normal. Depending on the difficulty and the song, sometimes it only lets you press only one button type for the entire play. The game also gives you only Miku's original costume at the beginning, you'll have to unlock costumes by achieving requirements like Finishing a certain song on normal or great level and finishing the song like 5 times. Anyway, that's basically it along with a lot of Miku dancing while you play and nonstop Miku songs.
Anyway, going to the gameplay now. Basically, the gameplay is simple, wait for the right moment and then press the corresponding button. Anyway, to clearly explain, watch this video of The Secret Garden gameplay first.
Well, if you looked closely at the buttons, there's like a clock hand in them, it's actually a timer that signals you if you need to press it already to get a cool, the combo breaks easily in this, a safe move destroys your chain immediately. And it's a good mix from different games of the same genre, sometimes, headache if the buttons intersect each other like from one song in normal mode which I can't seem to get right even with some tries already. You'll get an idea if the song is about to be finished, a special chance appears that greatly boosts your points, keeping a chain in this session will surely give you tons of points enough to clear the song. :D
Once you survived the song, you'll see the result based from Miku's actions, if she's acting shy, it means you get rank "cheap" which doesn't count the song as cleared, only standard, great and perfect allows you to receive a clear record. Achieving great unlocks extras as well. Perfect is obtained by not having any chain break, meaning no safe, sad or worst. Hard mode of each song is unlocked by clearing it in normal difficulty with a great or perfect rank.
Though Kaito, Meiko, Neru, Haku, Rin, Len and Luka are in, don't expect much, they're just skins for Miku, much like how Star Wars The Force Unleashed lets you take the skin of characters like Obiwan but still reprises powers, movements and actions of Starkiller. The same applies here, switching to Kaito doesn't let him have his own dance and doesn't switch the singing voice to his, everything, his actions, voice are still Miku, so don't get your hopes up too much. Although the game features a song in Rin and Len versions but seriously, Len scared the crap out of me seeing him dance exactly the same as Miku even if it was his singing voice.
Anyway, this is a really casual game not to mention a lot of Miku moeness for me and Mikutards alike. Well, I can't wait to play another round. Hehehe.

The truth behind Takamori...
The Game's Opening
Haruka is her only name, she is one of the "blades" and is sent from the past to the current world. Her mission is to protect a guy named Takamaru and at the same time it is him that teaches Haruka on how the present world is like. With a need of a family name, Haruka adopted the family name of Takamori with the hidden meaning of "To protect Takamaru" which was derived from Taka as part of Takamaru's name and mori which means protect.
Anyway, with all that Haruka comes from an eroge entitled Choukou Sennin Haruka or Beat Blades Haruka. I haven't played it but I do have the CG set and boy is Haruka deliciously hot XD

Simply one eye-popping outfit for a ninja
As indicated in one of my recent update, here's my review on Alter's Haruka Takamori.
Package/Box:
The box is truly a space eater but still Alter did a rather good design such that the box lets you feel like it's an old wooden house where ninjas do their tricks. Hehehe, but still if you're a box keeper this one needs quite a space but definitely far from the Nanoha line boxes.
Face and Photogenic Appeal:
Despite Haruka being a ninja and all, she's said to be gentle and kind when she's a normal student. With that said, Alter did a fine job with her face, despite her pose that's like ready to attack, her face gives off a calm and gentle feel. Like usual reviews, before I go to the photogenic appeal comment, I give off my favorite close up shot.
Now, for the photogenic appeal, I have to say having her in side view is the best but that doesn't mean she's not good for photogenic appeal, of course she is! She basically can be good at normal sides with a little adjustment. And if you're taking pictures using a mini-studio, a little proper play in lighting is needed, since her hair projects shadows on her face making it look like dust particles when it appears on the screen. Body and Details:
Since she's from an eroge, a really fantastic body is to be expected and Alter does not fail in that one also, hehe. She has nice curves as my friend commented before, the scarfs are nicely done, everything except a minor detail in her costume. Koto had a similar figure with the exact same pose but this version was sort of inaccurate in the detail near her oppais, those are supposedly scaled, which was done by Koto. But frankly, I love it more if it's not scaled but in terms of accuracy, that's a little minus. Still, she is one good figure no matter what. Some detail shots below ^^
Base:
Now for this figure, this is probably the only thing I didn't like about it... The base eats up quite a space which explains why the box was big too. But still, plain and simple so I'll applaud Alter for that one.
Bonus Features:
No cast offs people! Hehe, the only feature this one has is her removable weapons, you can leave the other hand with nothing or even leave both with nothing, for creative minds out there, you can plug other things in her hands. Well, that's all, nothing more, nothing less
Material:
I am really amazed with Alter's fine job at this one. She's been with me for like half a year now and she isn't even leaning by one bit despite her pose. Seriously, one of the hesitations I had with her before is that she might lean over time but she proves strong enough that Satsuki even "leaned" earlier than she could.
Pose:
One of the best things about a figure is having a totally dynamic pose. And Haruka's one of them, out of all my figures, she is one of the best when it comes to having a unique and wonderful pose.
Overall:
A figure of high quality and remarkable sculp with a dynamic pose, I mean what more could you ask for. Though she have a similar figure by another company, this one is certainly a winner and good thing that the time she was released, the materials haven't increased yet, so, she's got a good price IMO compared to the newer Alter releases which are quite wallet unfriendly.

Well, you got it, I won't confuse you anymore, she's definitely worth to get. Yes, she has some minor flaws but really, IMO she's one of the best blessings of 2008 and I am proud to own her. Such a wonderful figure is not to be hesitated with. XD

Yes! WonFes has two new Miku goodies in line and I just hate, I just wish I knew someone from Japan to buy it for me, I'm after, among the two, the figma is the one I'm after, aside from the "foily" color scheme, she now have a closed-eyes face and a really attractive set of wings along with a di:stage keyboard and speakers. Probably one of the most eye-popping jaw-dropping Miku figures ever made but why the hell is it an exclusive. :( Anyway, as for the other, if you remember one of GSC's commercials wherein their 1/8 Miku had her eyes closed, it's the other one, not so much into the face but heck it's still Miku and it's another exclusive. T-T Anyway, here they are:

As for Project Diva, it's near release, so, more videos came out, a full video of World is Mine dance and Miku Miku ni Shite Ageru dances for the game. And a special preview of a new song for the game, Dear Cocoa Girls, it has 2 versions, the female side, featuring the 4 girls of Vocaloid wearing their swimsuits and Miku is wearing a striped one! >.<>

I really wonder why does japan have to torture me with tons of exclusive Mikus... It just makes me cry... The Mixing Box special, the Volks 1/6, the Nendo Hachune, the Silver edition Nendo and Figma, the Nendo Puchi from Project Diva and now those two... Sigh... a world of disappointment indeed. :(

Well, we've decided to drop our thesis for this term...
Fuck that! What the hell are the consequences? A hell lot! Very first, instead of graduating by October I have to extend by one more fucking brain-sucking term doing nothing but that piece of miserable shit. Second, my eldest sister, the one who's kind enough to pay my stay at that miserably big failure green university who only looks like it stands out with the archer and it's ever "wonderful" name who's now a little degraded with the recent Ah1n1 scare, thus Ah1n1 Archer, what my friend called it, is born to remind people to be fluless instead of being ignorant clueless beings. Well, on one fucking factor, my sister said she wouldn't pay my tuition anymore if I get delayed but wow, look at the good news, we got delayed, terrific! Now how the heck would a jobless lazy ass bastard weirdo like me get the money to pay for next term? simple, remember one of my updates where I said I got a huge income, well, they've been changed to those ever gorgeous babes that stand in the big old cheap bookshelf standing next to me in this room. But luckily, that was only part of the payment and now, I'm working on the revisions to get my next batch of payment. BUT! BUT!

World's no.1 princess she is in her ever sly version as illustrated in "World is Mine" and she's on figure fire right now, I was hoping of getting both versions but NO! Fucking THESHIT just made that dream kapoot, instead of me having saved up that huge amount for some good releases in the next few days to come, I need to use it to pay for my tuition for that cheap-ass good for nothing piece of work called Thesis which I have no use for when I work in the future. Seriously, a friend said that Thesis is to show the mastery of one's course, heck I don't give a damn. Knowing me, I'd only take things seriously if it interests me and be like a good for nothing lazy bum in those that I don't fucking like, but seriously, I need to get serious with this pile of shit so I can finally claim that worthless piece of paper called a diploma, seriously I dunno what's up with employers who looks at Graduates and Grades, a diploma is just a paper that can be torn anytime for me while grades are mere numbers, sometimes letters, which shows little of what one is capable of. Seriously, there are those slackers in school but in the future when they get a job, they're the ones that stood out. Anyway, I guess, I can still afford one WiM Miku, so I can still get a +1 in my ever lovely Green-haired singing sentation Imouto shrine. Oh well... Anyway on the other lighter less hateful failures.

I'm selling some of the stuff which I didn't really like, well, as for my Spawn 3-pack, it's scheduled to be picked-up on Thursday, lucky, instant money! It's not that I'm quitting Spawn line, I just need a better spawn, much much better than the ones I'm selling.
On another hand, stupid me had not even thought of asking Wasabi Toys for the discount of active members, yes, I bought 3 consecutive Mikus and I didn't have a discount, some loss but at least now I know.

Starting on a Mini-Project

Due to the shit events and what not that recently happened, I started to revive the spritist in me Yesterday. Amazingly that helped me cheer up much from all the bad news at home and at school.
So, as for my first sprite act. I've decided to sprite Kamen Rider Decade's Complete Form and so far, it seems pretty good. It's still not done yet but here's my current progress with it.
Well, how is it? Enough to pass for a bust? XD Anyway, I'm using several images as basis but am most concentrating on this image.
Well, dunno who I'll sprite next after Decade, maybe Miku or another Kamen Rider. Hehe

Final Kamen Ride
Like usual, some short Decade update based on what I've watched.
Complete Form finally makes his appearance and totally pawned the Dark Riders. I have to admit despite the not-so-good-looking costume Complete form's got, he looked cool when he fought those Dark Riders, haha, I liked the Complete henshin as well. I dunno why. Funny thing here is that his K-touch really looks like a PSP but acts like an NDS, haha. Anyway, here's a short clip of him pawning the Riders.

ToyCon and 1 Year Anniversary
Celebration time, eh? Hehe, had a blast at ToyCon yesterday.
Well, June 14, 2008 was the first day of ToyCon last year. It dealt the biggest change for me probably, haha, it was the very day that I brought home a blue haired chick in her PVC glory scaled 1/8 from G Gundam, who is none other than Allenby Beardsley, my very first PVC figure. Yes, toycon last year was the start of all the things that are killing my wallet almost every month. Haha, so, instead of the date, I will be marking every ToyCon day 1 as my anniversary, hehehe.
Well, the usual I guess, a lot of shops there including the favorite local stores GT and Wasabi. Good prices here and there and sometimes, you see some rare items for sale there but as there are many booths, BLs also lurk from here to there, I can't believe I'm seeing those nendo Imouto BLs and her kind. Oh dear... The thing is, probably the most powerful weapon in this convention is to hag the shops, I actually helped my friend buy the Koto Saber from Wasabi by hagging it from sir Pats since my friend was lacking 200 bucks to get the Saber. Well, as for my hauls I didn't have to hag anymore since it was already a bargain. Hehe, anyway here are some things of interest in the displays at ToyCon '09.

I got Rider for a really great deal at 2Rats and got the Hybrid Style Galaxy Convoy from a fellow Otakai member, though the Galaxy Convoy won't be mine for long, it's gonna be my sister's on July, so, for now, I'll enjoy having it under my property. :D Well there's one more haul left to complete my anniversary and it's supposed to have arrived earlier than these two and it's none other than Zero. Hopefully he arrives some time this week already.

Kamen Rider The Next
Well, I haven't really watched Kamen Rider the First, but I guess this was good enough to stand alone as long as you know of Ichigou and Nigou's origins.
Really, the most impressive thing I liked about this is the somewhat renewed costumes, I was actually stunned by it, it's like Ichigou, Nigou and V3 like I've never seen them before. Well, how would I put it, this was an adaptation of the original Kamen Rider V3 series, but the enemy org is still the Shocker, Shiro Kazami had a different story on how he became a cyborg here since it is just an adaptation. But a really awesome one too. Haha, despite the seriousness of this film, I actually had a bif laugh when I saw a Filipino who appears as an extra for the scenario, he talks to Takeshi Hongo in tagalog! Duh, stupid bitch, as if Hongo will understand what she was saying trying to tell Hongo never to return to that place. Well, the henshin was pretty much a failure though, showing the belt animation and then you see them in rider outfit and puts on a grasshoper helmet and then attaches a mouth piece. In here, V3 was an antagonist at first, another cyborg created by Shocker through a new method. But around the half of the film, he becomes neutral and later on becomes an ally to help the double riders in fighting the shocker riders, Chainsaw Lizard and Scissors Jaguar. Nigou had the bitter end here but the adaptation was good enough I guess.
Anyway here's a comparison of the old costumes to the new costumes, I seriously like the movie rendition of V3, he's friggin' awesome. Haha, how I wish these were the costumes used in the upcoming All Rider vs. Dai Shocker moview, but they'll be using the old one. Meh.

Random Things and Why They Suck
Imouto sure doesn't look happy
Well, recent annoying stuffs came out so since I'm more like bumming these days due to campus closing. Supposedly, I should be doing my thesis but ack, I dunno why but I'm really feeling lazy about it though if it's another subject, I'd be willing to do it. Anyway, here are some annoying things I recently re-encountered.
Overpriced Goodies
Like I mentioned in my last "Murakami's Update", there's this store who was selling Figma Miku for 2.3k pesos. Well, for a figma, that's quite expensive and Miku's not even an SP figma to receive such increase, overpriced goodies are always my last resort if all else fails but having the knowledge of it still being available in others, it annoys me to see things like those. Well, I have to admit that some local stores are quite overpriced too in terms of toys like Transformers, really... If you convert them to php, it shouldm't be that high in terms of price, but anyway, I guess it's
just a matter of choosing where to buy from but seriously, when you see overpriced goodies, better make sure it's something like your only "hope" in getting the item.
Anime Censorship and Cut-scenes
Well, been recently watching anime at a local anime channel, Hero. And there's one show called Najica Blitz Tactics, supposedly this anime has some typical fan service in terms of showing a lot of pantsu during the entire show. But even though it was aired at midnight, the hell, every now and then you see those annoying blurs, I mean, what's so wrong with pantsu? It's not even like Hentai wherein you see much more than just a colored underwear. Ah well, the shit stuff like those, another one from Hero would be my favorite anime, KGNE, the teaser sex scenes are all removed/cut, well, that's ok I guess but somehow it still ruins viewing pleasure :p Moving along another channel, same goes for animax, one of the most annoying episodes I've watched was an episode in Gun x Sword, the censorship was very VERY fucking OBVIOUS, instead of just blurring them, they had to put those gigantic horse icons and the episode is like pretty much, RUINED! As for a scene that was cut, one would from Marimite ~Haru~, when Sei was about to graduate, Yumi's gift for her was a kiss, and what did animax do? They cut it! For goodness sake, it was just a kiss on the cheek!!!!!! Ugh tv failure at its best I guess. And I've read from a post of an Otakai member, the recently concluded Code Geass R2 at TV5, had censorship when Lulu got stabbed by Zero(Suzaku). Oh well...
Figure Delays
Recently found from kumo's blog that GSC's Saber Lily is delayed to August, what the!? And I was soooo getting ready to get her by next month. GSC did one powerful blow on me with that one. Well, delays do happen from time to time but seriously, it ruins the mood, kinda like this'll torture me since I will have to keep my money for it while actually preventing myself spending it. I have that problem, you see... Hehe, but still, I hope my BRS won't get delayed so I can claim her together with Lily. Another thing is the delays at local stores, well, supposedly I was about to get my Zero last week but shipping was delayed and have to wait later this week if it will arrive.
